CISSUS INFO

What Is Cissus?

Cissus (Cissus Quadrangularis to give it its full name) is a traditional Indian herbal medicine which has long been used to promote the healing of bone injuries. It is becoming more and more common among bodybuilders and other athletes as a preventative and recovery supplement for tendon, muscle and bone injuries.

What Does Cissus Do?

Cissus helps to heal tendon injuries by helping to deliver nutrients to where they are needed and by influencing early regeneration of connective tissue.

Cissus - Ingredients

The active ingredient in Cissus is called Ketosterone.

Cissus - Nutritional Information

You should look for cissus supplements standardised to at least 50% Ketosterone when buying cissus.

Cissus - Directions For Use

Depending on the size of the serving you purchase, you may end up taking 1 or 2 servings per day. Some cissus supplements are around the 800mg mark, and you take these one to three at a time with meals. If you get 400mg or 500mg servings (cissus is usually in capsule form) adjust the servings accordingly. Please read the label of the product you buy for exact dosages.

Cissus Side Effects

Cissus as a supplement may not be suitable for IOC tested athletes (because it contains steroid-like substances)
