What Is Aminogen?
Aminogen is a patented "designer" enzyme (made by Triarco Industries, it comes from plants - hence the "designer" label) which when taken in a protein shake claims to increase the absorption of the amino acids in the protein. You can find
Aminogen in many brands of supplements - some high profile examples are Opitmum Nutrition and
Sci-MX Nutrition. Whilst the studies done on
Aminogen showing promising results are conducted/funded by the company that makes it, this shouldn't be seen as unusual - most supplement studies have to be self-funded to make any progress. If you want to look at the studies yourself please search for "Triarco Industries" and you will be able to find the most up-to-date information on their website!
What Does Aminogen Do?
Aminogen works by binding to the protein and breaking down the amino acids you need for growth. The amount of protein you absorb when taking
Aminogen are said to be up to 250% higher than without
Aminogen. This makes
Aminogen a very important ingredient in any protein shake because you can potentially have less protein and absorb the same amount of amino acids!
Aminogen - Nutritional Information
You should ideally look for at least 250 mg. of
Aminogen per dose of your protein shake for maximum effectiveness.
Aminogen - Directions For Use
Because
Aminogen is taken as part of a shake, please go by the directions on the protein shake.
Aminogen Side Effects
There are no side effects from taking something containing
Aminogen - in fact you can expect less gas due to the better absorption of protien!
