Ginseng can have many, many other names depending on the country though most have a very similar effect! The most common form of ginseng in sports supplements is asian (panax) ginseng.
What Does Ginseng Do?
Ginseng increases energy levels and gives a great positive sense of well-being.
Ginseng also increases endurance and helps recovery rates - it also helps you to recover when taken after the workout.
Ginseng - Directions For Use
Take 1 to 2 grams per day. Long-term dosing should not exceed 1 gram of dry root daily.
Ginseng Side Effects
Ginseng is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women, or for persons with high, uncontrolled blood pressure. Other than this, when taken in the recommended dosages ginseng is side-effect free, although if you take it late in the day it can cause sleeplessness.
